CONGRATULATIONS to Sean Óg Ó hAilpín on being awarded the Freedom of Cork.

The boy from Fiji who came to a foreign land, learned its native language and its national game and excelled in both, made him one of the most remarkable people ever to live in Ireland.

Lord Mayor Michael O’Connell deserves the highest praise for such an inspired nomination.
