A clean political slate

GENERAL elections generate more news stories than the media can handle.

Defeated governments can sign ministerial orders that may not become public knowledge in the twilight of the interregnum. A new government should immediately review any such decisions. They should also consider annulling last-minute appointments to state boards. In America, administrative appointees leave office at the end of a presidency.
