As the responsibility involved in looking after an animal no matter how small becomes apparent some families will decide that they cannot offer a pet an ideal home and wonder what they can do to resolve the situation. One of the options involves the very many charities who will try to find a new home an unwanted pet.

One of the responses that must not be considered is abandoning the animal to its fate. As today’s horror story from Donegal, where a group of children kicked a pup to death, shows cruelty to animals is far too common and just because you can’t offer a pet a home it does not mean that you should deny it a future.
