INITIALLY the Irish people voted against the Lisbon Treaty proving for me, yet again, that they are either vastly more intelligent or vastly more honest (possibly both) than the Government that pretends to look after their interests.

Then, after a year of bullying and misrepresentation by Fianna Fáil on, among other subjects, how we would lose jobs if we voted ‘no’ again, we gave up our will to fight and voted yes.

So where are those jobs, Mr Cowen? Or were all your and your party’s promises at that time just one more miserable example of how none of you has the faintest idea of what is best for Ireland?
