How our leaders could win four-in-a-row

YOUR editorial headlined ‘Honesty is central to achievement’ (September 4) was a very inspirational read.

You wrote: “Through application, plain hard work, hugh community support, ruthless focus, inspiring leadership, as well as magnificent management, they have become something far less ordinary. They have made themselves exceptional because they refused to settle for anything less.”

While you were referring to the Kilkenny hurling team I thought what a wonderful mantra for our politicians and those in power to use and, more importantly, believe in.
