Blair protesters should look closer to home
What a zero-sum event it was, save for the hefty security bill the taxpayer will have to fork out in paying for the policing arrangements that were required to keep these protesters at bay.
Whatever about the other questionable motives for the war in Iraq, anyone in the west who believes that country would be better off under Saddam Hussein and his ilk is delusional.
In future, could the protesters focus their energies on criminal matters occurring much closer to home?
Of course, such action might actually lead to something – but how could we expect them to cope from a position of responsibility?
