Love thy neighbour

In reference to Father Tom’s Letter ( June 23), he asked “Could any sincere Catholic/Christian vote for the Civil Partnership Bill or support it in any way?”.

The answer to his question is yes. The Gospel states “love thy neighbour”. That means allowing others to be themselves, help them to be happy and to recognise their relationships.

My question to Fr Tom is: How can any sincere Catholic/Christian support the church over its actions in relation to children and the chiding of the perpetrators? The Catholic Church is no position to lecture on sexual morality.
