Cop-out mentality not confined to GAA
Be it our political leaders blaming “outside” influences for our continuing financial problems or individuals moaning about banking malpractice that has them in debt, we seem to have become experts at finding scapegoats for problems that were, in essence, of our own making.
If GAA managers practised what they preach and ensured their players did their utmost to uphold discipline, they should have no problem worrying about trial by media.
And on a broader point, is it not time we all started taking responsibility for our own actions?
