Tradesmen’s index paints wrong picture

COULD someone tell me what exactly the “tradesmen’s index” is and where I can find it? You report (September 16) that painters have reduced their prices from €375 to €250 a day.

Just who are these painters?

As a painter and decorator I know for a fact no one has made that kind of money. Builders and developers, at the height of the boom, were subcontracting all their work to the lowest bidder regardless of quality or experience.
