Tradesmen’s index paints wrong picture
Just who are these painters?
As a painter and decorator I know for a fact no one has made that kind of money. Builders and developers, at the height of the boom, were subcontracting all their work to the lowest bidder regardless of quality or experience.
Hence the vast majority of work done during the boom was of a standard that would not be allowed in most countries and was done for ridiculously low prices.
If anyone is benefiting from these “significant reductions” they should contact me and get a quality job done at a realistic price. I’m absolutely positive there are many plumbers and electricians who would concur. You should talk to people in the trades before quoting absolute rubbish from “the tradesmen’s index” — whatever that is.
