I WISH to support Margaret Browne’s request (Letters, June 29) for an apology from both you and Terry Prone for her column headlined ‘When it comes to the task of dying, ordinary people get the better deal’ (June 29).

Have you any idea of the upset and uncertainty it may have generated to cancer patients, particularly those having treatment on that day?

Oncologists and oncology nurses in this country are very highly qualified. I challenge Ms Prone as to her medical experience and education.
