‘Sad day’ if Bishop Magee tenders resignation
How dare he assume everyone shares these sentiments towards the bishop.
It is amazing how politicians seem to use the misfortune of others as a platform to promote themselves.
I am not just speaking of the bishop here, but also of the victims who have suffered enough without dragging this matter on and on in the public forum.
Obviously lessons need to be learned by those in authority in the diocese and the victims need closure, but not in the public forum.
Is it really necessary to go looking for the head of the bishop?
Perhaps Deputy Sherlock should take time to reflect on the words of Jesus when he said “let him among you who is without sin cast the first stone”.
I for one can recall all the good work that has been carried out by Bishop John Magee during the 21 years of dedicated service he has given to the diocese of Cloyne.
I also believe many others feel as I do, that it would be a sad day if the bishop tenders his resignation to the Pope.
