THE Broadcasting Commission’s attempt to tie up Veritas in knots over its advertising of religious products for Christmas is just another example of political correctness gone crazy.

I have to admit this whole campaign to take Christ out of Christmas is very confusing.

If Christmas is meant to celebrate the birth of Christ, and that’s what I always understood it to be, how can we say it’s anything but a religious festival — even if it has become totally materialistic? Anyone care to enlighten me on this one? I’ll be damned if I’m going to leave the birthday boy out of his own party. Any shop that advertises ‘x’mas cards, ‘x’mas presents, and ‘x’mas trees doesn’t get my custom.
