Generosity only way to treat new syndrome

THERE is a new disease in Ireland — it’s called RAIDS. It stands for Recently Acquired Income Deficiency Syndrome. This disease will affect many people.

Fortunately, there is a cure for RAIDS. Treatment consists of being kind to your family, friends and neighbours who have RAIDS.

If they need help, give it to them. Give what you can, whether it be time, money or conversation.

We can’t count on the Government to get us through this. We have to do it ourselves, united by being human and humane towards those who honestly need help. And so it goes.
