Verbal smokescreen

ACCORDING to your report (October 6), the number of abortions carried out in England and Wales last year came to more than 200,000 when women travelling from the whole of Ireland are included.

Verbal smokescreen

While the women concerned may have made a choice, the unborn victims of the procedure did not.

While Choice Ireland may have some grounds for criticising the pro-life counselling agency central to the article, the continuous use of the word ‘choice’ in the context of abortion and in the names of organisations that are pro-abortion on demand must surely be far more hypocritical given the unilateral nature of the choice in question.
