ACCORDING to Denis McMahon, (Letters, August 30), Senator Joe Biden was one of only two US senators to write a letter of support for a stamp commemorating Wexford-born Commodore John Barry.

And exactly what bearing does this have on his suitability for the US vice-presidency? Hopefully after November 4, he will have a plenty of time to indulge his interests in stamp collecting.
