Warsaw link broken as Aer Lingus flies elsewhere
Anyone now wishing to travel on business to Poland can fly with Ryanair or Aer Lingus from Dublin.
However, in both cases their schedules require an overnight stay in Dublin. Either outbound or inbound flights arrive at times when no connecting service to Cork is available.
The alternative is to fly to Krakow, Gdansk or Wroclaw on schedules that will arrive well after midnight when no transport is available to Warsaw.
The Polish economy is one of the fastest growing in Europe with enormous opportunities for Irish business investment.
There are also many Poles travelling to and from Cork.
The many Aer Lingus flights I have taken between Warsaw and Cork have always been well booked.
One wonders why the airline has not been able to make a commercial success of it. Or does it simply not have enough planes to maintain existing services while purportedly expanding to new destinations?
