Docklands documentary

Hawkeye Films is researching a documentary for TG4 on Cork’s docklands, looking at the impact the year 1984 had on the city, when Verolme and Ford closed, and the present redevelopment of the area.

We are looking for old movie footage and photographs of the docklands, especially around the time of the factory closures. We are also looking for contributors who have a past and present connection with this area, and children of employees of the former companies who may now work in one of the new office blocks or who may be planning to buy an apartment in the area.

All material will be returned.
