Town needs development to secure its future

YOU published a rather puerile letter headlined ‘Time to take a stand against urban sprawl’ (Irish Examiner, December 16).

The letter purported to represent all the people of Kenmare and came from the Kenmare Peninsula Action Group (KPAG).

The group made much of the fact that €120,000 had been collected to fight a local property development company which had applied in good faith to Kerry County Council for a visionary development in the town.
