US leaves a legacy of bloodshed in Iraq

NOW that the Americans have finally accepted they cannot conquer Iraq, after all the slaughter visited on its citizens, they are planning to exit as the going has become too tough — like they did in Korea, Vietnam and Somalia — and the folks back home have found again that their president had lied to them to get their support for an illegal war. And their British lackeys must be wondering now why they ever supported Bush in the first place.

Alas, it’s too late for the hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi men, women and children who lie cold in the desert sands.

When the US killing machine rolls on, all that will be left behind for the Iraqis will be a country on its knees ruled by some US stooge. With over 60% of Americans believing Saddam Hussein was responsible for 9/11, it shouldn’t take too much to convince them to get behind their president when he selects another country for his peculiar brand of American democracy.
