Sinn Féin set to take on mé féin movement south of the border

ONLY time will tell if this week’s elections will mark a watershed in Northern politics. It looks like the Democratic Unionists will be the biggest party in the new Assembly, with the right of selecting the First Minister.

The omens for a devolved, power-sharing government would not seem very good, but only time will tell.

Why did so many people stay at home? There was a time when it seemed that all of the living on both sides of the political divide voted, as well as some of the dead.
