John Keaveney: Renewed appeal for man who went missing in Cork in 2023

John Keaveney, who went missing in Cork, seen in the clothes he was wearing when last seen.
GardaĂ have renewed an appeal for information on a man who went missing in Cork City two years ago.Â
43-year-old John Keaveney went missing from the McCurtain Street area of Cork city between midnight and 12.30am on Monday, August 21, 2023.
Mr Keaveney is described as being approximately 5'9" in height with a slim build. He is bald and has brown eyes.
The last sighting of Mr Keaveney was walking down toward Centre Park Road/Marina Area of Cork city. He was wearing a pair of navy trousers, a grey Umbro hoodie with the Irish soccer team's logo and white runners.
GardaĂ and Mr Keaveney's family say they are very concerned for his welfare.

As reported by the Irish Examiner in 2024, Mr Keaveney was on holiday in East Cork with his wife and three daughters when he suffered an epileptic episode. He presented at Cork University Hospital for treatment on August 20.
He discharged himself from CUH at around 9.30pm that evening and headed towards Wilton Shopping Centre. His family believes the seizure may have left him confused in the hours afterwards.
His family reported him missing and gardaĂ issued an official missing persons appeal for him on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
