Thunderstorm warnings for much of Ireland ahead of 'mild and humid' nights

A second thunderstorm warning for Leinster will come into effect on Thursday.
Thunderstorm warnings have been issued for most of the country, as heavy showers are set to fall over the next 24 hours.
A total of four warnings have been issued and cover every county except for Galway and Mayo.
Met Éireann is warning of "heavy showers" with localised or scattered thunderstorms. The possible impacts include spot or localised flooding, lightning damage, poor visibility, and difficult travel conditions.
The four status yellow thunderstorm warnings are in place for:
- Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Clare with the warning in place from 3.35pm until 10pm on Wednesday;
- Cork and Waterford, with the warning in place from 10pm on Wednesday until 3am on Thursday;
- All of Leinster, Tipperary and Waterford, with the warning in place from midnight until 2pm on Thursday;
- Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon and Sligo, with the warning in place from 7am until 5pm on Thursday.
The UK Met Office has also issued a status yellow thunderstorm warning for all of Northern Ireland from 6am until 9pm.
Meanwhile, the country is set to see some very mild nights over the next few days.
Wednesday will see temperatures reach highs of 21C, but in the evening "showers will spread into the south and west, turning heavy and thundery in places after nightfall".
Showers will tonight "spread from the south, with a spell of more persistent and heavy showers developing in Leinster and Ulster later".
It will be a "mild and humid" night, with temperatures "not falling below 12C to 15C".
Thursday will be a washout in many places, with a wet start "across Leinster and Ulster, with outbreaks of heavy, thundery rain and a chance of spot flooding".
"Elsewhere, heavy showers and scattered thunderstorms will feed up from the south through the day. Rain in the north and east will clear by late afternoon," Met Éireann said.
It will again be humid, with temperatures reaching highs of 16C to 21C.
Thursday night will be similar to what came before. Met Éireann said "showers will become more isolated at first on Thursday night before further outbreaks of heavy rain spread across the country from the south with a chance of thunderstorms".
It won't be as mild as Wednesday night but it will still be humid, with temperatures of 10C to 14C expected.
Another humid day is in store on Friday, "with outbreaks of heavy rain along with scattered thunderstorms". Firday night will follow suit as "frequent showers will continue to spread from the south overnight".
Met Éireann said some would be heavy, with a chance of thunderstorms.
Saturday will be another showery day, but Sunday will see more in the way of dry weather, with some sunny spells amongst the scattered showers.
