Man charged after €310,000 worth of suspected drugs seized in Carrigtwohill
Gardaí from the Midleton Crime Unit, assisted by the Cork County Divisional Drugs Unit and other regional units, conducted a search under warrant at the domestic residence on Wednesday.
A young man has been charged after more than €310,000 worth of drugs were seized at a home in Carrigtwohill, Co Cork, on Wednesday.
Gardaí from the Midleton Crime Unit, assisted by the Cork County Divisional Drugs Unit and other regional units, conducted a search under warrant at the domestic residence on Wednesday, September 16, as part of ongoing operations targeting criminality in the region.
As a result of the search, gardaí seized more than two kilograms of suspected cocaine, with an estimated street value of more than €200,000.
Gardaí also seized vacuum-packed packages of suspected cannabis, with an estimated street value of more than €112,000.
A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene and taken to a garda station in the Cork County Division.
He has since been charged and is due to appear before Midleton District Court this morning at 10.30am.
The seizure was carried out as part of ongoing operations targeting criminality in the region.
Investigations are ongoing.
