Brother pays heartfelt tribute to Cork man who died in crash

Rory Ross was remembered as a 'thoughtful rogue'

A father, aged in his 50s, who died in a collision in Cork earlier this week has been named as Rory Ross.

Mr Ross from Killala Gardens in Knocknaheeny in Cork city died after his van went off on the Lee Road in Cork City on Tuesday morning. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His brother, Khristian Ross, paid a heartfelt tribute on Rip.ie, describing him as a “thoughtful” man with a great sense of humour.

“What can I say about my brother, he was funny and thoughtful always a rogue. He would be friends with anyone and always had time for everyone,” Khristian wrote.

“He loved to wind people up for a joke and had that innocent look on his face even though you could've (gotten) that joke. A great brother and amazing best man and I'm heartbroken that I won't hear his voice or laughter but I'll always remember him as being a good soul who would've time for anyone . I love you always my brother and will always think of you,” he continued.

Mr Ross is survived by his parents Noreen and Jimmy, his children, his partner Leona, and his siblings, as well as friends and colleagues.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
