Man charged over burglary at Cope Foundation premises in Cork

Daniel Heaphy, aged 33, of 12 Dunmore Gardens, Knocknaheeny, Cork, is charged with carrying out the burglary at Cope Foundation, North Mall, Cork, on April 30.
A burglary was carried out at the Cope Foundation premises on the North Mall in Cork and now a man accused of carrying out this crime has been remanded in custody until July 3.
Daniel Heaphy, aged 33, of 12 Dunmore Gardens, Knocknaheeny, Cork, is charged with carrying out the burglary at Cope Foundation, North Mall, Cork, on April 30, where it was alleged that he stole a Galaxy tablet, two phones, and a North Face jacket.
On the application of Sergeant Gearóid Davis, Judge Mary Dorgan adjourned the case until July 3 to allow time for directions to be obtained from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
DPP directions are also awaited on multiple counts of shoplifting allegedly committed in January.
He faces charges related to more recent alleged offences also. He is accused of possession of heroin for his own use on April 30 following his arrest on that date and shoplifting at Centra, North Main St, Cork, on the same date.

Shoplifting at Elvery Sports, Oliver Plunkett St on March 26.
Shoplifting at JD Sports, St Patrick’s St, on January 26.
And a similar offence at the same store on January 22.
