The results of an autopsy on the body of a man found dead at a recycling centre in Dublin over the weekend will not be released for operational reasons, gardaí have said.

The unidentified man’s body was found at the facility in Clondalkin at 1am on Saturday, and it is believed he had been there for several days.

The man is aged between 20 and 50 years and is described as being of slim build with a white complexion and brown/blonde hair. There are no tattoos on the man’s body.

He was wearing a white Adidas T-shirt, with three light blue stripes on each shoulder, as well as a blue Nike sweatshirt/jumper and grey Nike tracksuit bottoms, as well as a navy/white Adidas tracksuit top.

Gardai have released an image of the deceased’s tracksuit top in the hope that someone may recognise it.

Detectives attached to Crime South, Lucan and Ronanstown in west Dublin continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the discovery.

A Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) has been appointed to lead the investigation. An incident room has been established at Ronanstown Garda Station.

Another man’s body was found at the same facility in July this year. Andrew Haire, aged 35, from Co Meath, was homeless when his remains were found there.

A postmortem examination into Mr Haire's death was found to be inconclusive, and the investigation continues into how he came to be at the facility.

Gardai are appealing for anyone with any information that would help identify the man, or can assist them with the investigation, to contact them at Ronanstown Garda Station on 01 666 7700, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
