Man, 40s, injured in early morning Dublin assault dies 

A man who was injured following an assault in Dublin in the early hours of Friday has died. 

The man, aged in his 40s, was conveyed to hospital for treatment of serious injuries following an assault that occurred at Parslickstown Drive, Mulhuddart at 3.55am.

Following the man's death, gardaí said the office of the local coroner has been notified and an autopsy will be carried out in due course.

This investigation into the man's death is being coordinated from an incident room at Blanchardstown Garda Station under the direction of a Senior Investigating Officer.

A Family Liaison Officer has been appointed to the family.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information in relation to this incident or who may have video footage (including dash-cam) who were in the area of Parslickstown, Mulhuddart, Dublin 15 between 3am and 4.30am on Friday.

Investigations are ongoing, gardaí said.
