June the fourth warmest on record in Ireland, but wetter than average, new data shows

The average temperature for the month was 15.1C — the fourth warmest June on record since 1900.

Despite a cool start, June has become the fourth warmest on record for Ireland, with Roscommon recording the highest temperature here so far this year.

The mercury at Mount Dillon hit a high of 29.6C on Friday, June 20, but overall, the month was wetter and duller than average.
