Tributes have poured in after a mother and her eight-year-old daughter who died in a Mayo collision were named locally.
Aisling Moore, aged 46, and her daughter Abbigael Moore-Tournié were killed following a collision involving a car and a lorry on Tuesday evening at Lismoran on the N26 between Foxford and Swinford.

A number of sports clubs in Mayo have paid tribute to Aisling and Abbigael with dozens of heartfelt wishes following for the heartbroken family. Abbigael went to school in Kiltimagh and played football with the Kiltimagh LGFA U10s.
In a post on social media, the GAA club described Abbigael as a fun-loving girl who will be missed dearly.
The statement said: “It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we hear about the tragic deaths of our U10 team member Abbigael and her loving mother Aisling Moore.
“Abbigael was a kind, bubbly and fun-loving girl who will be missed dearly by us all, not least her family and her dear friends.
“We hold Aisling and Abbigael's family and friends in our thoughts and prayers. Rest In Peace Aisling and Abbigael in the arms of the angels.”
Swinford AC also paid tribute, saying: “The Swinford athletic community are in shock and disbelief as we heard of the awful tragedy to hit our community.
“News of the fatal crash claiming the lives of Aisling and Abbigael has rocked us to the core.
“Abbigael became a member of Swinford AC at age 5 in our little athletic group. Abbigael was the first child waiting for the gate to open every Tuesday evening rail hail or shine and never missed a session, such was her love and enthusiasm for running, cartwheels and having fun.
"Her bubbly personality, beautiful smile and the sound of her laugh will be just some of the things we will treasure," it said.
“Aisling helped out in the club as much as possible, always ready for her supervision duties and the first to offer if we needed help in running any event. They were both valued and respected members of our community we are heartbroken beyond words. Aisling and Abbigael, fly high with the angels. May you both Rest in peace.
“Sincere sympathy to all the Moore and Tournie family in particular Eddie, Louise, Jack and family club members and all your many friends at this incredibly sad time.”
Fianna Fáil councillor John Caulfield also extended his sympathies to the family of the deceased.
“Our thoughts and our prayers are with them,” he said. “This is so sad. This is the third fatality in Mayo this week alone. It’s frightening. Really frightening."
He said the community will be on hand to support the family through the difficult months ahead.
“It is unimaginable to think what this family is going through,” he said.
Gardaí have again called for anyone with information on the collision to contact Ballina Garda Station at 096 20560, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
Road users with camera or dash cam footage who were travelling on the N26 between Swinford and Foxford between 5pm and 6pm on Tuesday are being asked to provide this footage to gardaí.
Gardaí added that the scene has been examined and the road has since reopened to traffic. Autopsies have also been arranged.
Speaking about the four fatalities on Irish roads, Garda Press Officer Superintendent Liam Geraghty said the recent incidents "tragically illustrate the dangers that can affect any of us".
"No one sets out with the intention of causing or being involved in a traffic collision, especially one that results in fatalities. We often take using our roads as a routine activity, yet it remains the most hazardous task we engage in daily.
"An Garda Síochána extends its deepest sympathies to all families mourning the loss of loved ones due to road traffic collisions.
"An Garda Síochána continues to appeal to all road users — no matter how you use the road — to exercise extreme caution and stay safe. In particular, we urge all drivers to please slow down and protect everyone on our roads.”
