The Traitors episode 3 recap: A faithful digs their own grave bringing another down with them

It’s day three in the castle and despite getting their first Traitor out, the Faithfuls aren’t in great form.
Poor múinteoir Kayleigh is worried about the logic behind banishing Edelle.
“Two of the things that were put at Edelle, she drank her whole glass of water – I drink copious amounts of water – she looked tired and fidgety... that’s describing me!”
Kayleigh is also put out by how quickly people made to champion Fermoy’s Laura after she caught a Traitor based on this, eh, “evidence”.
“I don’t want to hear ‘I’m going to be murdered, I’m going to be murdered’, I’d rather they just killed her,” she says.
Well, your wish is the Traitor’s command, Kayleigh, because poor Laura is the second Faithful to be murdered.
“I had some strawberries and a croissant to celebrate. I felt like a weight was lifted, I was delighted she was gone,” the 33-year-old said.
Seán A – unsurprisingly – is in the firing line at breakfast after an outrageous slip-up at last night’s roundtable.
He is, just to remind us all, a Faithful, but for some reason went out of his way to vouch for Edelle even after she’d been revealed as a Traitor. When part of that speech involved him vowing to “get out Faithfuls!” Eee!
He tries to claw it back by pulling Diego, Ian and Pete for a chat.
“I nearly blew it last night,” he acknowledges. “Slip of the tongue...”
“I picked up on that,” Ian says.
“Everyone did,” Seán says miserably.
“Yesterday I was on nobody’s radar, and today I’m on everybody’s,” he says.
His solution? Start accusing left, right and centre.
“Janet. Young, good-looking professional woman, perfect to be a Traitor,” he says.
Also on his radar? Wee Donal.
He spends the morning doing the rounds ensuring everyone hears his reasoning for why Janet and Donal are traitors.
“You’re putting your name in people’s head,” Saoirse warns him.
“Sure, what can I do?” he replies. Quieten down, maybe?
Anyways, with Seán effectively digging his own grave, it’s time to head to the mission with, hey, actual coffins!
For the claustrophobic among us, it's one of the worst challenges. Sam bravely puts his hands up for the coffin at Siobhán's feet but, pysch!, it's actually everyone else that will have to go in coffins while Sam gets the opportunity to start rescuing players one by one, €500 per player.
But there's a catch – he can only save eight.
He chooses Seán C, Pauric K, Janet, Diego, Dennis, Pete and Carla.
Mission completed, back at the castle tensions keep flaring as Seán A continues to insist to anyone who will listen that Donal is a Traitor (he seems to have dropped Janet having realised it isn't catching on in the same way).
The teacher is struggling to speak up for himself, reflecting to the camera that maybe it’s to do with the fact he was in a neck brace last year after a GAA injury? We're not sure that is relevant, does he just want to bring up he played county?
David leads proceedings at the roundtable, throwing accusations at Donal and questioning why he hasn’t been more defensive.
“I am not going to start blabbering on when I’ve nothing behind it,” the Leitrim lad says.
In the end, almost everyone votes for Seán A, bar two stray votes for Donal, but it seems pretty clear what the Faithfuls’ logic is: get Seán A out first, Donal tomorrow. If Sean is a Traitor, it's Traitor on Traitor and Donal should go, if Seán is a Faithful, well he was obviously right about Donal being a Traitor. Right?
Well, viewers at home know the answer to that.
