Two arrested after seizure of cannabis worth over €2m
The seizure is part of Revenue's ongoing joint investigations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
Two men have been arrested following the seizure of over €2m worth of herbal cannabis in Dublin.
As part of an intelligence-led operation, Revenue officers and gardaí seized around 105kgs of the drug on Friday.
The seizure is part of Revenue's ongoing joint investigations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
Gardaí say the herbal cannabis, which is now subject to analysis, has an estimated market value of €2.1m
Two men, aged in their 30s, were arrested following the seizure.
They are currently being detained in a West Dublin Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
A garda spokesperson said: "Investigations are ongoing at present."
