Minister's speech at Cork LGBTI+ awareness week disrupted by protestor

Integration Roderic O’Gorman was speaking at the launch of the city's LGBTI+ awareness week when his speech was interrupted.

Ireland cannot be complacent about the advances made in LGBTI+ rights, the integration minister said on Monday, as the launch of the city’s LGBTI+ awareness week was disrupted by library protestor Ross Lahive.

Roderic O’Gorman made his comments ahead of his keynote speech at the official launch in Cork's City Hall of the event which runs until May 19 with a range of events planned under the theme ‘a safe city for all’.
