'This is not a moment for celebration': Family of Jason Corbett issues statement
Corbett trial November 8 2023
The family of Jason Corbett have said that the conviction of Molly Martens and Tom Martens is "not a moment for celebration."
A statement from Mr Corbett's relatives came shortly after the pair were both sent back to jail for the manslaughter of Mr Corbett.

The father and daughter were jailed for a minimum of seven months and a maximum of two years by Judge David Hall who presided over their hearing for seven days.
In a statement, Mr Corbett''s family asked for privacy
They said: "While this is not a moment for celebration for us, we can still find a path to move forward with our lives.
"While we may not be satisfied with the sentencing, we would like to acknowledge the dedication and hard work exhibited by the Davidson County Sheriff department and the District Attorney's office throughout the past eight years.
"We are deeply grateful for the support we have received from the people of North Carolina and Ireland, and we kindly ask for privacy as our family moves forward, with the comforting knowledge that Jason will forever hold a place in our hearts and memories.
"Tracey, Dave, Dean, Adam, Jack and Sarah."

The pair have already served 44 months in jail after being convicted of second-degree murder in 2017 but struck a plea deal last week for voluntary manslaughter.
Molly Martens was first to be sentenced, she stood up before Judge Hall who returned her to jail.
Judge Hall ordered a full psychiatric assessment of Ms Martens who was to be placed on suicide precaution before adding that he noted “the pain she has expressed” during the trial.
He told Mr Martens he had a “lot of respect” for him before sending him back to jail.
