EU chief thanks Irish people for ‘outstanding’ welcome for Ukrainian refugees

European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen has thanked the Irish people for their “outstanding” support welcoming Ukrainian refugees.

Ms von der Leyen is on a two-day trip to Dublin, where she is meeting Taoiseach Micheál Martin.
