Investment fraud rises 67% — men over the age of 55 are most targeted

Reports of investment fraud have risen by 67%, with men over the age of 55 the prime targets.

There were 234 reports of investment fraud in 2021, amounting to €12.4m, up from 140 reports in 2020 amounting to €8m.
