A man found in a solicitors’ office claiming he was homeless and looking for somewhere to sleep has had his conviction for burglary and criminal damage quashed by the Court of Appeal.

Robert Kane (41), with a last address on Dominick Street, in Dun Laoghaire, had denied burglary and criminal damage at the office of Patrick Morrissey and Co Solicitors, on Crofton Road, Dun Laoghaire, on February 3, 2017.
