Ian Bailey’s appeal of his failed civil action against the Gardai and the State over claims they tried to frame him for murder is due to get underway today.

As part of his action, he accused several Gardaí of conspiring to implicate him in the 1996 murder of Sophie Toscan du Plantier.

<p> Volunteers attending the DMax 7.7 fitness event, in honour of Darragh McCarthy, who tragically passed away last year at just 21 years of age. The sold-out fitness event saw over 300 competitors take on DMax 7.7 featuring seven fitness stations, lasting seven minutes per station with a two minute transition between station. Competitors entered in teams of two and tested their strength, endurance and mental resilience across a series of challenges including rope skipping, ski-erg, medicine ball, assault bike, rowing, burpee box jumps and wall balls.
