New trend called 'chemsex' causing sharp rise in STIs in Dublin

Medics in Dublin claim they have identified a new trend known as 'chemsex'.
A survey by the Gay Men's Health Clinic on Baggot Street shows that one in four patients are using recreational drugs to enhance sexual pleasure.
Media reports say the practice is suspected of causing a sharp rise in STIs like syphilis, gonorrhoea and HIV.
Stuart Clarke, Deputy Editor of Hot Press, says GHB is the drug of choice by users: " A leading Dublin club promoter Buzz O'Neill very vocal on the LGBTQ scene called it reluctantly an epidemic and adopted a zero tolerence policy to GHB saying if you are using it, talking about it, you are out of my clubs.
"Ambulance people have confirmed to him, it is a problem, finding people zonked out and eventually it turns out that GHB has been involved."
