Two explosive devices made safe as PSNI complete recovery of arms haul in Lurgan
Two viable explosive devices have been made safe during a search of an area in Lurgan in Northern Ireland.
The large-scale search operation in the Cornakinnegar Road area, which had been ongoing since Thursday, concluded this afternoon.
Bomb parts, improvised timers, a rocket booster and semi-automatic shotgun were among some of the items recovered.
Police are linking the haul to dissident Republicans.
Detective Superintendent Karen Baxter says the operation undoubtedly saved lives.
All of the recovered items will be sent for forensic examination.
