An acrimonious turf war has escalated between two neighbouring areas after a welcome sign was dismantled and stolen last night.

An acrimonious turf war has escalated between two neighbouring areas in Cork after a welcome sign was dismantled and stolen last night.

A sign reading ‘Welcome to Togher’ had been vandalised during the week following complaints from local residents that the sign had been wrongly erected in the Wilton area and last night it was stolen.
