Gardaí investigating serious assault in Temple Bar

Gardaí want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the serious assault of a woman in Dublin's Temple Bar last weekend.

It is understood the woman was knocked to the ground by a man at Bedford Lane, Temple Bar shortly after 3:30am on Saturday morning.

Members of the public helped the injured woman and she left the scene before gardaí arrived.

Gardaí received reports that a woman had been attacked by a man, but they were unable to speak to her as she was gone by the time they arrived at the scene.
