The former chief executive of Anglo Irish Bank, who is facing fraud and other charges in Ireland, has asked a US judge to release him on bail while he awaits an extradition hearing.

The Boston Globe reports that David Drumm told a federal judge in Boston on Friday that he is not a flight risk and would not abandon his family.
