Two men have been arrested after a robbery at a supermarket in Co Meath last night.

Two men have been arrested after a robbery at a supermarket in Co Meath last night.

A man wearing gloves, a balaclava with a grey hoodie and armed with appeared to be a handgun, entered the store in Enfield and forced a staff member to open up the tills where he proceeded to take the cash.

No staff member or customers were injured.

Raiders made their getaway in a car at 9.40pm in Enfield.

Approximately two hours later, Gardaí in Finglas a silver Ford Focus on the N2 Finglas Road.

A man and also a woman aged in her 40s were arrested. A quantity of cash was also recovered.

They are detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939 at Trim and Kells Garda Stations.
