Woman dies in early morning road accident in Tyrone

A 23-year-old woman has died after being struck by a car on the outskirts of Cookstown, County Tyrone.

The pedestrian was walking along Gortagammon Road at Tullyhogue at around 1am this morning, when she was knocked down.

The PSNI has appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
