The Taoiseach has said the Government's new dementia plan will allow those affected to be treated in their own home with dignity and respect.

€27.5m will be spent on the strategy between now and 2017, with the funds going towards “intensive” home supports, more resources for local GPs and raising awareness of dementia and its stigma.
