An Aer Lingus flight was diverted this afternoon after a bomb scare at its destination airport.

Perpignan airport in France was closed this afternoon from about 2.30pm after a suspicious piece of luggage was found at the terminal. Passengers were evacuated and all air traffic was suspended for several hours.
