Aran Islands to get emergency supplies as reservoirs run out of water

Emergency water supplies are due to be taken to the Aran Islands today.

The main reservoirs on Inis Meáin and Inis Oírr have reached a critically low level.

Restrictions have been in place for a number of weeks.

Irish Water has been working with Galway County Council on a back-up supply for the islands.
