A man in his 50s will appear in court this morning charged with the murder of a Lithuanian national.

The body of 44-year-old Audrius Butkus was found on Mornington beach in Co Meath last month

A post mortem revealed he had been stabbed several times and suffered serious head injuries.

A man in his 50s was arrested in Drogheda on Monday and will appear before Dundalk District Court at 10.30am this morning.
