Up to 310 jobs are being created in Dublin, with the seperate openings of a new hotel, and a headquarters for a global advertising firm.

Recruitment has begun to fill 180 jobs at The Marker, Dublin's newest hotel - which is due to open on April 2.

The hotel's owners are hoping to hire servers, bartenders, chefs, spa therapists and a doorman before the end of next month.

Elsewhere, advertising company Quantcast is creating 100 new jobs in the capital, over the next two years.

They are establishing a Europe, Middle East and Africa headquarters in the capital.

Also, in the city centre, Dawson Street eaterie Fire is creating a further 30 hospitality jobs.
