Water has breached the seawall at Clontarf in North Dublin, as city authorities anxiously watch for high tide due around midday.

Water has breached the seawall at Clontarf in North Dublin, as city authorities anxiously watch for high tide due around midday.

Dublin City Council has put in place a number of measures to deal with the danger, in line with warnings from its Flooding Advisory Group.

The local authority says it's confident the measures being put in place with be sufficient.

A “Tide Report Centre” has been set up to take calls from the public. This will be operated until 3 pm, by when the high tide will have subsided. You can contact the helpline on 01 222 2155.
